Bilkent University National Nanotechnology Research Center (UNAM)<\/strong> leads internationally competitive R&D projects in the fields of nanoscience\/nanotechnology<\/strong>, biotechnology\/nanobiotechnology<\/strong>, materials science\/engineering<\/strong>, and related research domains in a transdisciplinary ecosystem<\/strong> led by qualified human resources and management that roots its ethos in reason and knowledge<\/strong> at the campus of Bilkent University, the founding Higher Education Institution. With an aim to generate impactful and useful knowledge under the roof of the identity as a national laboratory and with a strong focus on enabling quality science, social benefits, and global innovation, UNAM works to create a competitive R&D capability to Turkey, cutting-edge science on a global scale, and high value-added technologies.<\/p>

With its distinguished academic staff and world-class research infrastructure, with a total of over 400 instruments<\/strong>, it has a unique open laboratory approach that provides a vibrant R&D environment in a transdisciplinary ecosystem<\/strong> for more than<\/strong> 600 researchers<\/strong> to conduct top-tier scientific studies. UNAM serves as a national laboratory to over 2,400 users<\/strong> from academia and other industries. To date, UNAM has contributed to the commercialization of many high-tech products with 150+ international and national patent registrations<\/strong>, 200+ international and national active patent applications<\/strong>, and 1,700+ citations in the Science Citation Index<\/strong>, and 300+ journal articles<\/strong> published in the Nature Index.<\/p>
