We are interested in the study of fluids at micro and nanoscale. Our research studies span the fields of microfluidics, lab-on-a-chip systems and integrated microsystems.
Microfluidic technologies enable the use of small scale fluid control and analysis. Compared to their bulky counterparts, microfluidic devices yield faster, higher performance and cost-effective assays.

Lab-on-a-chip  systems

Integration of several microfluidic components leads to miniaturized systems that can perform the operations of standard laboratories. These systems are called lab-on-a-chip systems. We develop truly portable, integrated LOC systems.   (…more)


An interesting research direction we follow is microdroplet based microfluidic systems in which immiscible fluids are used to form microdroplets. These droplets contain femto/nanoliter volume samples and can be formed in an automated fashion for studies requiring compartmentalization of biological or chemical samples.      (…more)
