Dr. Talha Erdem, a recent PhD graduate of Demir Group, has been awarded with the prestigious Newton International Fellowship. Dr. Erdem will continue his research together with Dr. Erika Eiser in Cavendish Laboratory at the University of Cambridge. He will work on the DNA-driven self-assembly of colloidal nanocrystals and controlling the optical features of these self-assembled superlattices in real-time. This fellowship initiative is supported by the Royal Academy of Science and British Academy, and aims to improve relations with UK in research and innovation for sustainable growth and welfare of partner countries, one of which is Turkey.
