Prof. Gurkan Yesiloz&#8217;s Research Published in Chemical Engineering Journal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Bilkent University National Nanotechnology Research Center&#8217;s (UNAM) Asst. Prof. Gurkan Yesiloz has published a new study entitled &#8220;A Pulsatile Acoustofluidic Platform Inducing Chaotic Flow for Enhanced Mixing, Molecular Interactions and Particle Manipulation in Single-Phase and Droplet Microfluidics&#8221; in the <em>Chemical Engineering Journal<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Asst. Prof. Yesiloz developed an innovative pulsatile acoustofluidic platform to enhance mixing and molecular interactions in microfluidic systems. By generating controlled acoustic pulsations within fluids, the platform induces chaotic flow regimes that enable precise particle manipulation, controlled molecular binding, and safe operation with living cells. The results demonstrated that protein\u2013ligand interactions could be monitored in real time via fluorescence signals, while cell viability remained unaffected throughout the process. Owing to its energy-efficient design and versatile functionality, the platform was shown to represent a significant technological advancement for biomedical research, diagnostic applications, and microscale biochemical analysis.<\/p>\n<p>Read Asst.
