Prof. Dr. Fatih \u0130nci Receives 2025 ITU Science Award"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Bilkent University National Nanotechnology Research Center\u2019s (UNAM) Asst. Prof. Fatih \u0130nci has been awarded the 2025 Istanbul Technical University (ITU) Science Award. Asst. Prof. \u0130nci received the award in the Fundamental Sciences category, in which he was recognized for his innovative approaches in his field, his interdisciplinary research vision, and his high-impact scientific contributions.<\/p>\n<p>Asst. Prof. \u0130nci\u2019s research at UNAM, conducted <strong>within UNAM\u2019s advanced research infrastructure and its multidisciplinary research culture<\/strong>, focuses on point-of-care diagnostic tests, biosensors, microfluidic systems, extracellular vesicles, and microneedle technologies, as well as their clinical applications. The low-cost, rapid, and highly sensitive diagnostic platforms he has developed through<strong> UNAM\u2019s strong infrastructure and scientific expertise<\/strong><strong>, \u00a0<\/strong>are currently being used in the early detection of infectious diseases, cancer, and other major health conditions. His work has directly impacted millions of lives by offering accessible solutions to address global health inequalities.<\/p>\n<p>The ITU Science Awards are presented to scientists who conduct work in T\u00fcrkiye and have made significant contributions to science at an international level.
