Prof. Serim Kayacan Ilday of UNAM has been awarded for this year\u2019s \u2018For Women in Science\u2019 award, which is strived from the partnership of the L\u2019Or\u00e9al Foundation and UNESCO (the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) to support and recognize accomplished women researchers, to encourage more young women to enter the profession and to assist them once their careers are in progress. She is awarded for her project to produce cost effective and highly efficient thin film solar cells from a complex, hierarchically self-assembled material that she discovered during her PhD (Nano Letters, 2016).<\/p>\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Asst.
