Prof. \u00d6zg\u00fcr \u015eahin of the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics and UNAM was presented with an Eczac\u0131ba\u015f\u0131 Scientific Research and Medical Incentive Award.<br>The Dr. Nejat F. Eczac\u0131ba\u015f\u0131 Awards are given annually by the Eczac\u0131ba\u015f\u0131 Group (the parent company of Turkey\u2019s leading pharmaceuticals manufacturer) in remembrance of the group\u2019s founder. The Eczac\u0131ba\u015f\u0131 Scientific Research and Medical Award Fund was established by Dr. Eczac\u0131ba\u015f\u0131 to promote the development of Turkey\u2019s health sciences; the jury for the first award, presented in 1959, included several legendary figures of Turkish medicine.<br>Dr. \u015eahin received the award for his contributions to cutting-edge research at the international level in the field of cancer biology.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last week, at a ceremony held at Dokuz Eyl\u00fcl University in \u0130zmir on Friday, October 13, Asst.
