The event\u2019s aim was to introduce children to science and broaden their horizons. The children who participated in the event visited UNAM&#8217;s advanced infrastructure, got to learn about and observe the clean rooms, had the chance to examine specimens with an optical microscope, and viewed images of plant cells taken with a laser scanning confocal microscope.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bilkent University National Nanotechnology Research Center (UNAM) opened its doors to eighteen children aged 5-13 on February 3, 2023, as part of the \u201cUNAM Kids\u201d event.
