The journal is published by the American Chemical Society (ACS) and features significant research conducted in the fields of materials science and engineering.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Ye\u015fil\u00f6z and his team\u2019s research is entitled &#8220;A Microfluidics Assisted Double-Barrelled Nano-Bioconjugate Synthesis Introducing Aprotinin as a New Moonlight Nano-carrier Protein: Tested Towards Physiologically Relevant 3D-Spheroid Models&#8221; which introduces nano-drug carriers utilizing the protein, Aprotinin, to offer a groundbreaking approach to cancer treatment. Aprotinin serves as both an anti-metastatic carrier and a \u201cmoonlighting\u201d protein to more efficiently deliver the cytotoxic drug, doxorubicin, directly to cancer cells. These nano-bioconjugates improve cellular uptake in cancer cells while sparing healthy cells from toxicity; thus enhancing drug efficacy and diminishing side effects.
