The two-day workshop brought together leading researchers from the Netherlands and Turkey, featuring presentations, panels, and lab tours in fields including <strong>metamaterials<\/strong><strong>, nanoelectronics, photonics<\/strong>, and<strong> nanobiotechnology.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Notable participants from the University of Twente in the Netherlands included Prof. Hans Hilgenkamp, Prof. Harold Zandvliet, Prof. Dr. Willem L. Vos, Asst. Prof. Laura Gra\u00f1a Suarez, Prof. Dr. Muharrem Bayraktar, Prof. Dr. David Marpaung, Prof. Dr. Pepijn W.H. Pinkse, and Dr. Ivana Qianqi Lin. From Turkey, the workshop welcomed participants from Bilkent University UNAM, including Prof. Dr. Hilmi Volkan Demir, Assoc. Prof. Engin Durgun, Asst. Prof. Talip Serkan Kas\u0131rga, Asst. Prof. C\u00fcneyt \u015eahin, Asst. Prof. Hasan Y\u0131lmaz, Asst. Prof. \u0130brahim Sarpkaya, Assoc. Prof. Selim Hanay, Asst. Prof. Wonmi Ahn, and Assoc. Prof. Yegan Erdem. Additionally, Abdullah G\u00fcl University\u2019s Prof. Dr. Evren Mutlug\u00fcn, Sabanc\u0131 University\u2019s Prof. Dr. \u0130nan\u00e7 Adagideli, and Ko\u00e7 University\u2019s Assoc. Prof. Sedat Nizamo\u011flu also contributed to the workshop.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop marked an important step in establishing strong scientific ties between the two countries and developing innovative collaborations in the field of nanotechnology. Comprehensive presentations were made on the current landscape of nanotechnology in both the Netherlands and Turkey. In-depth sessions on nanomaterials, optics\/photonics, and micro-nanoelectronics were also held.
