Prof. Hasan Y\u0131lmaz has been granted funding for his project \u201cWavefront Shaping Based Optical Imaging and Sensing\u201d as a part of the T\u00dcB\u0130TAK\u2019s 2247-A National Leading Researchers Program.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Y\u0131lmaz&#8217;s project aims to develop optical positioning and imaging methods that provide nanometer-scale precision by shaping light that is scattered by opaque materials. Within the scope of this project, spatial light modulators (SLMs) will be used to focus light on multiple points in space, allowing for the development of non-imaging optical positioning metrology technologies that enable nanometric precision positioning of opaque layers and target objects such as chips placed accordingly. This groundbreaking approach, which ultimately eliminates the need for any camera, aims to revolutionize fields that demand high speed, precision, and resolution, such as optical metrology techniques in semiconductor chip manufacturing, as well as LIDAR and biomedical imaging.<\/p>\n<p>The T\u00dcB\u0130TAK 2247-A program supports pioneering researchers whose projects contribute to Turkey&#8217;s scientific advancement and foster growth in the field of research and development by providing essential funding.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bilkent University National Nanotechnology Research Center\u2019s (UNAM) Asst.
