Held on March 14, 2025, the event, titled \u201cInspiring Women in Science: Career Journeys, Experiences, and Achievements,\u201d attracted significant interest and a large audience.<\/p>\n<p>The panel featured four distinguished scientists\u2014Asst. Prof. Wonmi Ahn, Assoc. Prof. Yegan Erdem, Dr. Ay\u00e7a Arslan Erg\u00fcl, and Dr. Sezin Galio\u011flu \u00d6zaltu\u011f\u2014who shared insights into their scientific careers, research, and personal experiences. Moderated by Asl\u0131 Semerci, a PhD student in UNAM\u2019s Materials Science and Nanotechnology (MSN) program, the discussion covered topics such as the contributions women have made to science and society, gender representation in academia, and the challenges women face in the field.<\/p>\n<p>The speakers also reflected on the opportunities and obstacles they have encountered throughout their careers, offering valuable advice and inspiration to aspiring scientists. The event sparked discussions on the steps needed to increase female participation in science.
