Bharat Bhushan

The Ohio State University

Bharat Bhushan is an Ohio Eminent Scholar and The Howard D. Winbigler Professor at the College of Engineering of the Ohio State University as well as the Director of the Nanoprobe Laboratory for Bio- & Nanotechnology and Biomimetics. Considered by many as one of the pioneers of tribology, he has authored 8 scientific books, >90 handbook chapters, and >800 scientific papers. He has also edited >50 books and holds 20 U.S. and foreign patents. He has given more than 400 invited presentations on six continents and more than 200 keynote/plenary addresses at major international conferences.

Ali Khademhosseini

Harvard University

Ali Khademhosseini is a Professor at Harvard Medical School (HMS) and a faculty at the Harvard-MIT’s Division of Health Sciences and Technology (HST), Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) and an Associate Faculty at the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering. Dr. Khademhosseini’s interdisciplinary research has been recognized by over 40 major national and international awards. He is an author on >450 peer-reviewed journal articles, editorials and review papers, >60 book chapters/edited books and ~20 patent/disclosure applications.

Nicholas A. Peppas

The University of Texas at Austin

Nicholas A. Peppas is the Cockrell Family Regents Chair #6 in Engineering and the Director of the Institute for Biomaterials at the Cockrell School of Engineering of The University of Texas at Austin. A member of the US National Academy of Medicine and the US National Academy of Engineering, Dr. Peppas has made outstanding contributions to the fields of drug delivery, controlled release and biomaterials. Dr. Peppas is currently ranked as the most cited chemical and biomedical engineer with >80,000 citations.

Samuel I. Stupp

Northwestern University

Samuel I. Stupp is a Board of Trustees Professor of Materials Science, Chemistry and Medicine at Northwestern University. A pioneer in the study of self-assembling materials and supramolecular chemistry, Dr. Stupp is the (co-)author of >300 peer-reviewed publications and is listed as one of the 100 most cited chemists of the 2000-2010 decade. Dr. Stupp’s scientific achievements have been recognized via multiple awards and honors, including but not limited to his recent election to the College of Fellows of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering.

Qihua Xiong

Nanyang Technological University

Qihua Xiong is an Associate Chair at the School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences of the Nanyang Technological University. A prominent researcher working on emerging physical properties of low-dimensional and strongly anisotropic materials. Dr. Xiong is the recent recipient of multiple awards including the 2015 IPS Nanotechnology Physics Award of the Singapore Institute of Physics and the Nanyang Award for Research Excellence.
