Bilkent University has managed to be among the top 4 universities in Turkey in the 2021 results of the “Entrepreneurial and Innovative University Index”, which sets the universities that can offer their scientific and technological competence to the benefit of the ecosystem through cooperation and interaction, in other words, that can offer an environment that enables business ideas to mature and materialize, raise individuals who can take risks with the entrepreneurial spirit, and have a driving role in development with the economic contribution they provide and the innovation culture they spread and are determined every year by TÜBİTAK and announced by the Ministry of Industry and Technology.
Bilkent University was determined as the 4th most “Entrepreneurial and Innovative” university in Turkey in the ranking made by TÜBİTAK on 23 indicators under four dimensions: Scientific and technological research competence, intellectual property rights portfolio, cooperation and interaction, and economic contribution and commercialization. It was announced by the Minister of Industry and Technology, Mr. Mustafa Varank, at the “Impact Analysis Studies Evaluation Workshop” held in December 2021.
These index studies, which were initiated ten years ago, measure the performance of universities in many respects and provide important inputs to “impact analysis studies”.
