Asst. Prof. İbrahim Sarpkaya from UNAM has published an article entitled “Controlling The Photoluminescence of Quantum Emitters in Hexagonal Boron Nitride by External Magnetic Fields” in 2D Materials, a prominent journal in the fields of basic and applied scientific research.
The study found that the intensity of quantum light originating from the defect centers of two-dimensional boron nitride material can be effectively controlled by an external magnetic field and that magnetic fields can be used as important and effective control mechanisms in the development of different magneto-optical devices.
