In order to increase the interest and motivation of younger generations towards science, Dr. Ayça Arslan Ergül visits many educational institutions, especially high schools, and gives seminars on behalf of the Bilkent University National Nanotechnology Research Center (UNAM). Ankara Science High School, Dr. Rıdvan-Binnaz Ege Anatolian High School, Pursaklar Science High School, Kayseri Science High School, Kayseri Anatolian High School, and Nevşehir Kardelen College are among the institutions that Dr. Arslan Ergül will visit in October and November this year.
In addition, Dr. Arslan Ergül is scheduled to speak at Boğaziçi University’s Biotechnology Summit on November 5, 2022 and will meet with the Bilkent University Genetics Society on November 8, 2022.
Dr. Ayça Arslan Ergül graduated from Boğaziçi University’s Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics in 2001. She later received her master’s degree from Ankara University in Basic Hepatology and her doctorate degree from Bilkent University’s Molecular Biology and Genetics Department. She conducted her postdoctoral studies in Glasgow, Scotland and at Bilkent University. After working in Hacettepe University’s Stem Cell Center, she is now a group leader at Bilkent University UNAM and has prioritized providing opportunities for students who want to do scientific work in Turkey. She established the Arslan-Ergül Lab in pursuit of this goal.
