Bilkent University’s National Nanotechnology Research Center (UNAM), one of the first four national research centers to be granted qualifications under Law No. 6550 in 2017, has been recertified for another five years.
Working to create a competitive R&D capability in Turkey, cutting-edge science on a global scale, and high value-added technologies, UNAM continues its activities in the fields of nanoscience/nanotechnology, biotechnology/nanobiotechnology, materials science/engineering, and related research domains in a transdisciplinary ecosystem with its distinguished academic staff, world-class research infrastructure, and over 400 devices.
In the second 5-year qualification period, we aim to continue to contribute to Turkey’s competitiveness in the fields of science, technology, and innovation; create not only economic but also social benefits; produce quality knowledge with the strength of our university-industry cooperation; develop new technology; and contribute to productisation.
