Bilkent University National Nanotechnology Research Center (UNAM) opened its doors to eighteen children aged 5-13 on February 3, 2023, as part of the “UNAM Kids” event. The event’s aim was to introduce children to science and broaden their horizons. The children who participated in the event visited UNAM’s advanced infrastructure, got to learn about and observe the clean rooms, had the chance to examine specimens with an optical microscope, and viewed images of plant cells taken with a laser scanning confocal microscope.
