This year, two of the five outstanding scientists honored with the 2023 Incentive Award by the Presidency of Turkish Health Institutes (TÜSEB) were members of the Bilkent University National Nanotechnology Research Center (UNAM). Minister of Health Dr. Fahrettin Koca and TÜSEB President Prof. Dr. Erhan Akdoğan presented the awards to Asst. Prof. Yavuz Nuri Ertaş and Asst. Prof. Serkan Belkaya at the Turkish Medical World Congress ceremony.
Asst. Prof. Ertaş, a graduate of the UNAM MSN (Materials Science and Nanotechnology) Master’s Program and a researcher within the UNAM Thousand Talents Program, received the 2023 TÜSEB Incentive Award for his contributions to the fields of nanomedicine and biomaterials.
Asst. Prof. Belkaya, a researcher at Bilkent University’s UNAM and an affiliate of the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, was also honored with the 2023 TÜSEB Incentive Award for his contributions to the fields of human genetics, rare diseases, and molecular medicine.
