Asst. Prof. Talha Erdem, who received his PhD degree from Bilkent University Electrical and Electronics Engineering under the supervision of Prof. Hilmi Volkan Demir, has received the 2023 Turkish Academy of Sciences – Outstanding Young Scientist (TÜBA-GEBİP) Award for his outstanding contributions in the field of electrical and electronic engineering. Asst. Prof. Talha Erdem is actively engaged in the “Supply of Nanocrystals and Metal/Metal Oxide Nanoparticles” project as part of the A1-1004 Platform. The platform is supported by the TÜBİTAK 1004 Excellence Center Program and is led by UNAM.
The TÜBA-GEBİP Award is granted annually to support distinguished scientists under the age of 40 who conduct high-quality scientific studies and have developed their own research groups. The award also aims to encourage these young scientists to conduct their outstanding research specifically in Turkey. As of this year, a total of 610 scientists have been granted the TÜBA-GEBİP Award.
