Asst. Prof. Gurkan Yesiloz from Bilkent University National Nanotechnology Research Center (UNAM) has been awarded the 2025 METU Parlar Foundation Research Incentive Award for his scientific studies focusing on microfluidic systems and nano-biomaterials, as well as lab-on-a-chip, microwave, and acoustic sensor technologies developed through a translational engineering approach. A total of 12 scientists were selected for this prestigious award in 2025, which is granted annually by the METU Parlar Foundation to promote scientific research and support knowledge generation, and 4 of the awardees are affiliated with UNAM. Alongside Dr. Yesiloz, the award was also conferred upon Dr. Mustafa Ordu, Dr. Talip Serkan Kasırga, and Dr. Hasan Yılmaz. Dr. Yesiloz is widely recognized for his interdisciplinary research that translates fundamental micro- and nano-engineering principles into industrial and clinical applications, with a strong focus on bench-to-product innovation.
