On Friday, January 23, 2026, Bilkent University National Nanotechnology Research Center (UNAM) held a talk entitled “Gender Equality and Violence against Women” featuring Şule Yıldırım.
In her speech, Yıldırım brought together her academic background in social work and psychology with many years of professional experience at the Ministry of Family and Social Services. During the event, key topics such as the fundamental concepts of gender equality, the individual and societal dimensions of violence against women, and approaches to awareness, prevention, and empowerment were discussed.
