Bilkent University National Nanotechnology Research Center’s (UNAM) researchers continue to share their scientific journeys and return-to-Türkiye stories with a wider audience. Following previous appearances by Asst. Prof. İbrahim Sarpkaya, Asst. Prof. Mustafa Ordu, Asst. Prof. Fatih İnci, and Dr. Ayça Arslan on TRT 1’s “Yurda Dönüş” program, Asst. Prof. Gurkan Yesiloz is now featured in the 16th episode, where he shares his own inspiring journey and experience of returning home.
Having brought his academic and research experience from abroad back to Türkiye, Asst. Prof. Gurkan Yesiloz is continuing his scientific work at UNAM, where he focuses on microfluidic systems and nano-biomaterials, as well as lab-on-a-chip, microwave, and acoustic sensor technologies developed through a translational engineering approach. In the program, he discusses his career path, scientific motivation, and ongoing research.
