Bilkent University National Nanotechnology Research Center (UNAM) hosted a delegation of senior administrators and academics from Nanjing University (NJU) on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 as part of their visit to the university.
The delegation was led by Professor Tieniu Tan, Chair of the Nanjing University CPC Council, Chair of the World Data Organization, and Fellow of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The delegation from NJU also included Professor Xiao Dong, Dean of the School of Liberal Arts; Professor Yu Zhao, Dean of the School of Environment; Professor Tianyu Chen, Dean of the School of Earth Sciences and Engineering; Professor Hairen Tan, a researcher on advance photovoltaic materials in the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences; and Nan Chen, Division Chief for Global Engagement in Nanjing University’s International Affairs Office.
As part of the visit, the delegation was given a technical tour covering UNAM’s laboratories and research areas. The guests received a comprehensive overview of UNAM’s interdisciplinary research approach, ongoing R&D activities, research groups, and advanced research infrastructure and facilities.
