The Bilkent University National Nanotechnology Research Center (UNAM), one of Türkiye’s leading research institutions, is opening its doors to researchers from around the world within the scope of the TÜBİTAK’s 2232-A International Fellowship for Outstanding Researchers Program and the 2232-B International Fellowship for Young Researchers Program.
These programs aim to encourage international researchers to conduct scientific studies in strategically important fields in Türkiye as well as to attract distinguished senior and young researchers with international experience to Türkiye.
A comprehensive support package is provided to researchers under both calls:
- Monthly fellowship (156,000 TRY for experienced researchers / 120,000 TRY for young researchers)
- Family living allowance for spouse and children
- Research start-up grant (4,700,000 TRY for the 2232-A Program / 2,350,000 TRY for the 2232-B Program)
- Research project support (up to 2,400,000 TRY)
- Research team fellowship support (for up to 5 team members, including graduate, doctoral, and postdoctoral researchers)
- Institutional overhead payment to the host organization
- Health insurance and travel support
Support is provided for a duration of at least 24 months and up to 36 months. Projects can be carried out within higher education institutions, public research centers, qualified research infrastructures under Law No. 6550, TÜBİTAK institutes, or R&D centers in Türkiye.
UNAM offers researchers a unique scientific ecosystem with its multidisciplinary research culture; pioneering projects in fields such as nanotechnology, biotechnology, physics, advanced materials, energy, photonics, fiber optics, and health sciences; a world-class research infrastructure; and strong international collaborations.
