Bilkent University National Nanotechnology Research Center (UNAM) hosted TÜPRAŞ on 1 December 2025. During the meeting with representatives from TÜPRAŞ’s Project and Technology Management, Materials and Reaction Technologies, and Petroleum and Fuel Technologies Directorates, the parties discussed TÜPRAŞ’s strategic transformation goals in regards to sustainable refining, biofuel technologies, zero-carbon electricity production, and green hydrogen.
UNAM researchers Asst. Prof. Bülend Ortaç, Prof. Dr. Sevil Savaşkan Yılmaz, Asst. Prof. Serkan Kasırga, and Dr. Sezin Galioğlu Özaltuğ presented their ongoing research, showcasing UNAM’s multidisciplinary research ecosystem and advanced R&D capabilities. The meeting also covered potential collaboration opportunities between the two institutions, possible areas for technological development, and prospects for joint applications to international funding calls.
