Bilkent University National Nanotechnology Research Center (UNAM) and ASELSAN’s Microelectronics and Electro-Optics Sector Presidency (MEOS) have launched a new collaboration initiative. The partnership will provide ASELSAN MEOS personnel with access to UNAM’s advanced research infrastructure and laboratory facilities for defense technology R&D projects. ASELSAN will also benefit from UNAM’s cleanroom facilities and advanced manufacturing, characterization, and analysis capabilities to support its ongoing R&D activities.
This agreement builds upon a long-standing partnership between UNAM and ASELSAN’s former Microelectronics Guidance and Electro-Optics Sector Presidency (MGEO), renewing and aligning the collaboration with ASELSAN’s current organizational structure to further enhance the technology development ecosystem shared by the two institutions. As one of Türkiye’s leading research centers in nanotechnology, photonics, advanced materials, sensor technologies, and semiconductor systems, UNAM provides a world-class research environment supported by world-class infrastructure and highly skilled researchers. Through its strategic approach to university–industry collaboration, UNAM continues to contribute to the development of critical technologies for the defense sector while strengthening Türkiye’s innovation ecosystem, technological capabilities, and global competitiveness.
