Bilkent University National Nanotechnology Research Center’s (UNAM) Assoc. Prof. Fatih İnci was ranked 39th worldwide among approximately 33,000 researchers in the field of Microfluidics in ScholarGPS’s latest evaluation, placing him among the leading scientists in his field.
In the ranking, which evaluates academic research performance based on indicators including research productivity, scientific impact, and research quality over the past five years, Assoc. Prof. İnci ranked 35th in Research Quality, 50th in Scientific Impact, and 86th in Research Productivity.
Asst. Prof. İnci’s research at UNAM, conducted within UNAM’s advanced research infrastructure and its multidisciplinary research culture, focuses on microfluidic systems, point-of-care diagnostic tests, biosensors, extracellular vesicles, and microneedle technologies, as well as their clinical applications. The low-cost, rapid, and highly sensitive diagnostic platforms he has developed through UNAM’s strong infrastructure and scientific expertise, are currently being used in the early detection of infectious diseases, cancer, and other major health conditions. His work has directly impacted millions of lives by offering accessible solutions to address global health inequalities.
