The annual Alumni Homecoming, organized by Bilkent University’s Career and Alumni Office, took place on Sunday, September 20, 2026.
As part of the event’s commemorative medal ceremony, Bilkent University National Nanotechnology Research Center’s (UNAM) Assoc. Prof. Engin Durgun presented medals to graduates of the Materials Science and Nanotechnology Master’s and PhD Programs (MSN). Members of the class of 2016, Tuğçe Önür, Ayşe Tezcan, Yelda Ertaş, Zeliha Soran Erdem, and Hasan Güner received their 10th-anniversary medals. Doğukan Hazar Özbey, a member of the Class of 2021, received his 5th-anniversary medal.
The event began with opening remarks by Rector Prof. Dr. Orhan Aytür, after which alumni had the opportunity to reconnect with their former classmates and faculty members. The day-long event also featured live performances, a design market, street food, outdoor activities for children, and a raffle.
