Bilkent UNAM Scholarship Opportunities

Bilkent UNAM offers a wide range of financial aid options and prestigious fellowship/scholarship opportunities for graduate students. These include:

  • UNAM Bilkent University President Graduate Fellowship (formerly named Bilkent UNAM Graduate Fellowship)
  • UNAM Scholarship for Young Women
  • Bilkent UNAM Graduate Scholarship
  • Scholarship from externally funded projects

University Graduate Fellowship (formerly named Bilkent UNAM Graduate Fellowship)

This prestigious award is highly competitive and highly regarded, and provides fellowship package for exceptionally talented MS and PhD candidates with outstanding academic record and/or having high-impact scientific publications.

This unique program awards the following financial aid package:

PhD Students

  • Tuition waiver (1.245.000 TL/year for the Academic
    Year 2025-2026)
    (*) It can be given as a partial exemption considering the academic success of the student.
  • Monthly stipend including housing support( total of 76.000 TL / month)
    *Additional scholarship to be considered each year
  • Private health insurance
  • A laptop computer
  • Meal card
  • Travel support (once a year, at yearly determined fixed amount) to attend scientific events
  • The Awardee is expected to disseminate the results of his/her thesis research work being carried out at UNAM, by one of the means of which is intended to be UNAM’s travel support for his/her oral presentation at a well-known/-respected peer-reviewed conference

  • 50% housing discount is available for students who do not have paid employment 

MS Students

  • Tuition waiver (1.245.000 TL/year for the Academic
    Year 2025-2026)
    (*) It can be given as a partial exemption considering the academic success of the student.
  • Monthly stipend including housing support (total of 53.000 TL / month)
    *Additional scholarship to be considered each year
  • Private health insurance
  • A laptop computer
  • Travel support (once a year, at yearly determined fixed amount) to attend scientific events
  • The Awardee is expected to disseminate the results of his/her thesis research work being carried out at UNAM, by one of the means of which is intended to be UNAM’s travel support for his/her oral presentation at a well-known/-respected peer-reviewed conference

  • 25% housing discount is available for students who do not have paid employment 

The MS Fellowship can be converted to the PhD Fellowship, if the candidate is found successful during the thesis work or upon successful completion of the MS program.

Bilkent UNAM Graduate Scholarship

This competitive program provides MS and PhD scholarship opportunity for the applicants with distinctive academic achievements.

This program awards the following financial aid package:

PhD Students

  • Tuition waiver (1.245.000 TL/year for the Academic
    Year 2025-2026)
    (*) It can be given as a partial exemption considering the academic success of the student.
  • Monthly stipend including housing support (total  of 56.000 TL / month)
  • Private health insurance
  • A laptop computer
  • Meal card (after the PhD qualifier)

  • 50% housing discount is available for students who do not have paid employment 

MS Students

  • Tuition waiver (1.245.000 TL/year for the Academic
    Year 2025-2026)
    (*) It can be given as a partial exemption considering the academic success of the student.
  • Monthly stipend including housing support (total of 46.000 TL / month)
  • Private health insurance
  • A laptop computer

  • 25% housing discount is available for students who do not have paid employment 

Successful MS students can be considered for PhD graduate Scholarship/Fellowship.

UNAM Scholarship for Young Women

This dedicated award encourages and supports promising young women in science and technology by offering scholarship opportunities for their MS and PhD studies.

This is a unique and competitive program and awards the following financial aid package:

PhD Students​

  • Tuition waiver (1.245.000 TL/year for the Academic
    Year 2025-2026)
    (*) It can be given as a partial exemption considering the academic success of the student.
  • Monthly stipend including housing support (total of 76.000 TL / month)
  • Private health insurance
  • A laptop computer
  • Meal card

  • 50% housing discount is available for students who do not have paid employment 

MS Students​

  • Tuition waiver (1.245.000 TL/year for the Academic Year 2025-2026)
    (*) It can be given as a partial exemption considering the academic success of the student.
  • Monthly stipend housing (total of 53.000 TL / month)
  • Private health insurance
  • A laptop computer

  • 25% housing discount is available for students who do not have paid employment 

Successful MS students can be considered for PhD graduate Scholarship/Fellowship.

Scholarship from externally funded projects and or externally funded fellowship programs

MS and PhD students are accepted to participate in specific research projects funded by external sources such as TÜBİTAK R&D projects and TÜBİTAK BİDEB scholarship, EU, and industry. The monthly stipend varies depending on the sources; MS or PhD study.
