EMBO has announced that Asst. Prof. Amir Bahrami of UNAM has been selected as one of the six scientists to receive the Installation Grant. EMBO Director Professor Fiona Watt has stated that they are delighted to welcome the talented scientists and adds that “EMBO promotes excellence in the life sciences throughout all parts of Europe, and beyond. We look forward to the contributions of the grantees in the countries they moved or returned to as well as to the wider scientific community.”
The new EMBO Installation Grantee Amir Bahrami will be establishing his group at Bilkent University UNAM, which mainly focuses on theoretical modeling and simulations of soft/active matter and cellular/biological systems.
Dr. Bahrami will be receiving 50,000 Euros annually for three to five years and can also apply for additional grants of up to 10,000 Euros per year.
