UNAM’s Materials Science and Nanotechnology Graduate Program (MSN) 2012 Bilkent University PhD Graduate Prof. Hasan Şahin has received the Sedat Simavi Honor Award in the field of science, for his work “Raman and Optical Characteristics of van der Waals Heterostructures of Single Layers of GaP and GaSe”. The Sedat Simavi Science Awards are given by the Journalists Association of Turkey to individuals who have made significant contributions to the fields of natural sciences.
We congratulate Prof. Şahin, who is a faculty member at Photonics Department at the Izmir Institute of Technology, and wish all the success in his future endeavors.
