UNAM Asst. Prof. Urartu Özgür Şafak Şeker’s preclinical study research on developing and investigating “A highly Potent Sars-CoV-2 blocking lectin protein” is accepted for publication and will be highlighted from the front cover of the ACS Infectious Diseases. The Research has proven the potency of the lectin protein for blocking Sars-CoV-2’s different variants including Omicron, Delta and D614G. It has also shown that the protein does not cause any additional immune response.
