UNAM Principal Investigator Asst. Prof. Fatih İnci and his team were awarded support from Health Institutes of Turkey (TÜSEB) as part of the institute’s 2022-B-01 Project Call. The support was for the team’s chip technology that enables the use of waste from microbiota pathogens in diagnosing diseases.
The project will be conducted by Asst. Prof. Fatih İnci in partnership with Assoc. Prof. Ahmet Çağkan İnkaya, faculty member of Hacettepe University’s Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology Department. It aims to develop palm-sized medical diagnostic devices that will enable the detection of bacterial infections at bed-side through non-invasive sampling methods.
