As part of its mission to contribute to the widespread dissemination of science, enable younger generations to discover their potential, and promote interactive and accessible science and technology, the Bilkent University National Nanotechnology Research Center (UNAM) regularly hosts special events for middle and high school students. Most recently, students from the Turkey Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation) had the opportunity to engage with the world of science.
Dr. Ayça Arslan Ergül and her team at UNAM hosted students from the T3 Foundation, striving to provide equal opportunities for young people by steering them towards science and technology and fostering innovation through major events like TEKNOFEST. On Monday, June 10, 2024, the students of the T3 Foundation’s Deneyap Workshop in Nevşehir toured the advanced facilities of UNAM, observed the clean rooms, and had the chance to examine specimens with an optical microscope. Additionally, they gained insights into nanomaterial synthesis, the use of nanoporous materials in nanotechnology, and information about lasers.
