Assoc. Prof. Yavuz Nuri Ertaş, a graduate of the Bilkent University UNAM Materials Science and Technology MSN Master’s Program and a researcher in the UNAM Thousand Talents Program, has received the 2024 TÜBİTAK Encouragement Award for his research in biomedical engineering and nanomedicine, particularly for his work on cancer treatment using nanoparticles and biomaterials. His research holds great potential in combining biomedical engineering and nanotechnology to develop innovative approaches to cancer therapy.
Assoc. Prof. Ertaş’s interdisciplinary research spans fields including cell and tissue engineering, biomaterials, nanoscience and nanotechnology, radiology, nuclear medicine, and medical imaging. Currently, he serves as a faculty member in the Biomedical Engineering Department of the Engineering Faculty at Erciyes University. Assoc. Prof. Ertaş continues his work to develop innovative solutions in the field of healthcare.
